They travelled for months and months. . . Suddenly, they saw Aotearoa and sailed close to the land. They were soooooo excited to see a new land.The next job was to drag the waka onto the golden beach, so they cut tall native trees down.
Then they rolled it over the logs like in the book "Five Green Speckled Frogs"! They dragged the waka with a rope made out of cocnut fibre.
Finally they unloaded coconuts, a juicy pig and the bananas they had left, onto the beach to save for dinner.
Hi Room 2, I really enjoyed visiting your class the other day and seeing the cool things you are doing. You have so many wonderful things going on. This Kid Pix picture is very clever Yvonne. I love the detail in it.
