We lined up in a straight line and watched Whaea Raewyn put the screwed up paper under the kindling wood. We went back inside and made the damper. When it was made we took it back out to the fire. We made a flat pancake and put it on our bmboo stick then we cooked it until it was nice and golden. We put some golden syrup on top and it was ready to eat. Yummy. It was tasty!
What a fabulous story you have written Khaia! I love the way you have described making damper and you made me feel hungry when you got to the part about the golden syrup.Mmmmmm.... Mrs Burt
